FAQS

Students
  • Who is eligible for assistance?
The parameters of the Fund are rather all-encompassing; we seek to help students in any grade, school or academic level. We are guided by the administration of each school. We trust that any name put forth for assistance is a student in legitimate financial need and of good academic and behavioral standing.
  • What kind of assistance do you provide?
In years past the Fund has paid for winter clothing, school supplies, AP Exams, athletic equipment, field trips costs, graduation photos, settling end-of year obligations and helping to offset costs for dances, proms or senior trips.
  • Is there a limit to how much a student can receive in aid?
While there is no set limit, we trust schools will submit requests that bridge a student’s need, with our goal to help as many children as we can.
  • Is there a limit to how many students can receive aid at one school?
No, there is not. We ask that any requests be given thoughtful consideration and should ensure the student in need has equal access to the same necessities and opportunities as their classmates.
  • Can families apply for aid personally?
Unfortunately, no. To comply with our standing as a 501(c)(3) all requests for aid must come from an employee of the school.
  • Who can apply to the Fund from the school?
Administrators, teachers, guidance counselors, club advisors, coaches or anyone else at the school with oversight and direct knowledge of a student’s specific need.
  • How does the child receive the materials they need?
To comply with our standing as a non-profit corporation, once the request is approved school personnel will purchase the needed materials and the school will be reimbursed by our Fund.
  • How long does it take until the funds are received?
Funds are usually dispersed within 2 weeks of receipt for the items purchased.
  • Is the reimbursement check made payable to me?
The check will be made payable to the school, who then reimburses the employee.
